Dear members of Singapore,

I could use help tracking the following species in the Mandai parks. Some might be off display, some might be gone, and for others, I could use tips on how to see/find them. Any input is welcome.

Starting off with Bird Paradise:

- Ashy starling (Lamprotornis unicolor) - Heart of Africa
- Asian Black-necked stork (Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus asiaticus)
- Blue-backed tanager (Cyanicterus cyanicterus) – female in Amazonian Jewels aviary
- Bornean rhinoceros hornbill (Buceros rhinoceros borneoensis) - off display?
- Cornelia’s eclectus parrot (Eclectus roratus cornelia) – off display?
- Dusky parrot (Pionus fuscus) - Heart of Africa
- Eastern hill myna (Gracula religiosa religiosa)
- Moriche oriole (Icterus chrysocephalus) - Amazonian Jewels
- Golden-necked Cassowary (Casuarius unappendiculatus) - Lory Loft
- Greater green leafbird (Chloropsis sonnerati) - gone?
- Greater racket-tailed drongo (Dicrurus paradiseus) - where?
- Grey-backed myna (Acridotheres melanopterus tricolor) - Songs of The Forest
- Javan pied myna (Gracupica jalla) - Songs of The Forest
- Lemon dove (Columba larvata) - Heart of Africa
- Massena's lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus massena) - Mysterious Papua
- Negros bleeding-heart (Gallicolumba keayi)
- Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jeffery)
- Pileated parrot (Pionopsitta pileata) - Amazonian Jewels
- Purple-tailed Imperial-Pigeon (Ducula rufigaster) - Songs of The Forest
- Red-fronted barbet (Tricholaema diademata) - Winged Sanctuary
- Santa Cruz ground-dove (Pampusana sanctaecrucis)
- Seychelles shama (Copsychus sechellarum) – Lory Loft (enter from Mysterious Papua for the best chance)
- Red-billed gull (Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae) – off display?
- Straw-headed bulbul (Pycnonotus zeylanicus) - Winged Sanctuary
- Sumatran rhinoceros hornbill (Buceros rhinoceros rhinoceros) - off display?
- Vieillot's barbet (Lybius vieilloti) - Heart of Africa
- Western Bronze-naped Pigeon (Columba iriditorques) - Heart of Africa
- White-bellied sea eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster)
- Yellow oriole (Icterus nigrogularis) - Amazonian Jewels
- Long-tailed mockingbird (Mimus longicaudatus) - Crimson Wetlands
- Asian koel (Eudynamys scolopaceus) - Wings of Asia, still alive?

Looks like a pretty good list to me, though personally I would throw in the other Bleeding Hearts for good measure. (Also the Blyth's or Papuan Hornbill in Wings of Asia since I'm biased for those guys)

I'm not sure what Rhinoceros Hornbill species we have, but we have 2 of them in the Winged Sanctuary beside the Great Hornbill enclosure.

Birds of Prey like the White Bellied Sea Eagle can only be seen in the Predators on Wings show, the Philippine Eagle being the only exception as far as I'm aware.

There should also be a few Dusky Parrots in Crimson Wetlands if I'm not mistaken

Best place to find the Santa Cruz Ground Doves (for me at least) is Songs of the Forest. They're usually on the ground but try to search the foliage on the left hand side after this Crowned Pigeon nesting area as you continue walking the bridge before the watering hole. From my visits there's always this 1 goober chilling pretty closely there, if not these birds sometimes like to come up to the pavement too

That's sadly about all I got for now, I'll leave the rest to the more experienced users here. Wishing you luck on your trip

Long comment ahead but hope this helps

Mary the black-necked stork lives in a separate enclosure from the other birds in Wings of Asia; you have to walk through an adventure trail to see her

Rhinoceros hornbill is on display but not sure which subspecies

Sumba eclectus is located at SoF

Their greater green leafbird has died but they have blue-winged leafbirds and lesser green leafbirds

Greater racket-tailed drongo should be in Wings of Asia

Its very hard to get a good look at the Negros bleeding-heart doves as the cage can only be viewed from higher up. Yellow orioles are at Winged Sanctuary.

The white-bellied sea eagle can only be seen in the birds of prey show like all raptors except the Philippine eagle

Santa Cruz ground doves are in both SoF (males) and Lory Loft (females) but they're much easier to find in Fragile Forest at the zoo

The silver gull, Hane lives his best life with the penguins

Don't think they have Asian koels but you can definitely hear them time from time just being in Singapore. We call them the uwu bird bc they're noisy in the early morning

Other than that, most of the listed birds are still here afaik, you just have to be lucky enough to see them

Red-fronted Barbets have been moved to Heart of Africa

I believe the Greater Green Leafbird is still around, spotted at SoF on 14 July.

Straw-headed Bulbul is at SoF as well.

Blue-backed tanager is still around at Amazonian Jewels (last spotted on 14 July as well).

Saw a bird that is similar to Javan Pied Myna (unsure if same species) at Wings of Asia.

Wings of Asia houses Asian Pied Starling
