Toronto Zoo Species you'd like to see return?

This was inspired by the Marwell thread :D

Species I'd like to see make a old-school species return (as I'd like to call it) to Toronto include:

Gemsbok
Thomson's Gazelle
Grey-Headed Fruit Bat
Tasmanian Devil
Musk Ox (if only they didn't require a prohibitively expensive enclosure)
Wild Boar
Barasingha Deer
Musk Deer
Pronghorn Antelope
Coyote
Fennec Fox
Bat-eared Fox
Raccoon Dog
Quoll
Bobcat
Chinese Leopard
Tamandua
Baird's Tapir
Gharial (though I understand they are being brought back to be in a renovated enclosure)
Black Footed Penguins (see above :))

I wish every species that has become extinct, would come back. Every species has it's purpose on this earth. An animal that has become extinct, probably has affected the qulity of other species.

And some of the species that you listed are not classified as endangered, threated or special concern, but infact are thriving and abundance

I'd love to see the Tasmanian Devils and Chinese Leopards return, as you had already mentioned. I never did get a chance to see those at the zoo.

Ooh, forgot about some other species, Sacred Baboon, DeBrazza's Monkey (I hope I spelt that right) and either the genet or civet.
 
I'd be estatic if our colobus monkeys, chinese leopards, thomson's gazelle and dwarf water buffalo came back :D
 
I had forgotten about the Dwarf Buffalo! What a neat species they were. Also, the Bongo. I wouldn't mind seeing the guineafowl back either, maybe out with the impala, etc. While on the subject of birds, I wouldn't mind the return of the bee eaters. If I recall they were once displayed to another old school favorite of mine, the Liberian mongoose.
 
I would agree about the African Black Footed Penguins! I remember getting a Toronto souvenir book last time I was there and seeing a zoo picture with the penguins. I knew where in the zoo it was but I was thinking, "There's no longer penguins there...."

I would also love to see a tamandua! I would suggest for Toronto zoo goers to make a trip to Buffalo, NY to see a tamandua, but he's not always visible. They usually give him access to offexhibit and he takes full advantage of it. Although last time I was there they locked him out so I vainly took advantage of the situation.
