Can anything be done about this thread? Its an interesting subject (for me) but every time I try to access it and scroll down to the latest news, it just jams up my computer.

This has happened so many times with just this one thread, but no others. I notice someone keeps posting videos on it and wonder if that is contributing to the problem?

I believe that is the precise reason.

I would try to fix the issue.... but my computer keeps freezing up if I try to use the thread!!

I think if the embedded videos could be replaced with links that would stop it, but it seems the site automatically embeds them when you use the link in your post.

Maybe just entirely remove all the video links in the thread?

I've had a go at fixing the problem. On page numbers five and six I have edited each youtube link by making a gap in the address so it doesn't form an embedded video. To access the link you just cut and paste the address into your address bar and then remove the space (and I have left this instruction on each edited post). The first three pages of the thread do not have any links.

It is page number four where there is now an issue. I tried twice to get into the page and each time it just froze, and both times after about twenty minutes I had to shut down my computer to escape. I *think* I may have managed to edit the first link on the page but I'm not sure.

So pages 1, 2, 3 , 5 and 6 are all now fine. Avoid page #4.

Maybe one of the other moderators may have more success, or maybe Sim or Jobalba will be able to get into it.

EDIT: okay I have managed to access page four by virtue of it crashing my Adobe Flash plug-in!!

I have edited the insane number of video links on that page (53 videos by my count, although I may have mis-counted by a couple).

The whole thread should now be readily accessible to everybody.
