A 2-year-old female Sri Lankan leopard was moved to Singapore from Zoo Ostrava in late June. She was born at the zoo in 2022. Her twin brother already moved to Zoo d'Abruzzo in Italy last year.

European zoos are helping to expand the Sri Lankan leopard breeding population in zoos in Southeast Asia and Australia to increase the number of opportunities for future exchanges. Three Sri Lankan leopards are expected to leave Europe for these regions this year.

What is the history of Sri Lankan leopard founders in Europe?
When and how were they imported?
What is the founding size?

And any leopard tracing back towards Zoo Wassenaar?
thanks.

Any infos about the two young males Sri Lankan leopards transfered to UK from Parc des Félins recently ?
They are named YAGODA and YAKKALA.
I don't know in what zoo they arrived...
It looks like they have moved to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. According to Zootierliste, they have only started keeping this species as of this year. I have not found any other confirmation about this. I didn't even know they had moved.
