With Chester Zoo and Peak wildlife park closed today which other collections are closed.
Most nature reserve hides in the south and midlands are also closed as they are mostly in areas of trees.

From what I read, most (if not all) UK zoo collections up and down the land are closed today.

Most zoos have mentioned of being closed today on their Facebook pages but there could be a couple that could manage to open as usual.

Stay safe out there if anyone plans on travelling.

Whipsnade and london zoo also closed today.

I think you’d struggle a bit to find a collection open today but Hamerton isn’t showing closed yet though as anyone from the fens knows it’s nearly as windy all the time in the flat lands as it will be for everyone else today.

Colchester zoo, Paradise Wildlife Park, and Shepreth Wildlife Park are also all closed today, even my school is closed! I suppose all we can do now is get what work we need to get done done and hope all our zoos make it through this storm!

From Paignton's website:
"Storm Eunice has caused some significant damage to trees and services at Paignton Zoo. We have decided to keep our zoo closed to visitors this weekend (Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th February), until we are certain that the storm has passed and to allow our team to concentrate on looking after our animals, making the necessary repairs and ensuring our site is safe. We hope to reopen after the weekend, however we will provide a further update on Monday morning, so please check the website and/or our social media channels before travelling."
So that's 17 days of closure, and one late opening, so far this year, with Monday looking iffy.

Safari Zoo Cumbria closed for one day, yesterday, but have now reopened. As far as they've said the storm has caused them no significant problems.

Several zoos in the South we’re closed on Friday too (unsurprisingly) and many are closed again this weekend due to damage/fallen trees.

- Drusilla’s Park was closed Friday but open this weekend.
- Chessington was also closed Friday but open this weekend.
- Wildheart Trust/Isle of Wight Zoo was closed Friday, open this weekend.
- Amazon World was closed Friday but open this weekend.
- New Forest Wildlife Park was closed Friday and Saturday.
- Monkey World was closed Friday and will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- Marwell was closed Friday and Saturday

Twycross was open again today describing yesterday as being a little bit breezy, well probably true for Twycross anyway ;)

From Paignton's website:
"We will remain closed on Monday 21 February while we continue to clear up the damage from Storm Eunice and make sure our zoo is safe. Storm Eunice has caused some significant damage to trees and services and we need to make the necessary repairs. We hope to reopen on Tuesday and will provide a further update on Monday so please check the website and/or our social media channels before travelling."
Conditions must have been worse at the zoo than they were a 10 minute walk away at Chez Gigit.

Longleat is closed today as well. From their website:
'Due to storm damage across the park, we have made the difficult decision to keep our gates closed today (21st Feb). We will be re-opening from Tuesday (22nd Feb) and tickets are still available to pre-book for the rest of the week. Anyone with pre-booked Day Tickets for today will be automatically refunded and those with booked VIP experiences or staying in our cottages will be contacted directly to rearrange. Please note our phone lines are currently down.'

Paignton closed again on Tuesday.
I really feel for all zoos in this position as it will hit all concerned financially.
With Paignton though, I’m slightly dubious about whether the management are being slightly opportunistic and using the time without public to get more boardwalk dismantling and lion moves etc….? I hope I’m wrong, but the management also know most families will re-visit later in the week.
Here’s hoping all zoos have a more positive 2022 & all are safe.

I've just had a look at the booking for PZ and strangely it doesn't seem to be available for Tuesday 1 March. Will they be closed again then?
Newquay's website had exactly the same announcement as Paignton's on Saturday but have fortunately been able to open today.

Unfortunately I know of several things which *do* need repairing at Paignton, primarily due to how much of the site is located in and around woodland.
