Thought id setup a post for people to post links to any of the studbooks online. As it is a handy resource but quite hard to find.

I'd like to express my interest, the indian rhino one was really interesting! :)

Thanks for that.

I've posted this link before, but it's one of the classic examples. The studbook for the Przewalski horse from Prague
General Studbook Of The Przewalski Horse

Here are some international and regional ones for gibbons, but they are not all up to date (the whole site is worth exploring if you're interested in gibbons).

Finally, there is the site that would be Pertinax's favourite, if he didn't know most of it by heart already ;) Jim Davis' unofficial gorilla studbook, hosted at the Gorilla Haven website

I can assure you I don't know most of it by heart !:D

American Gorillas, bar a few of the 'oldies' are all unknowns to me nowadays, as are all the Gorillas at Howletts/PL under a certain age. There are just too many to keep track of- so thank heavens for 'data.'

Anyone have the link for the Indian rhino studbook? (or Black Rhino also)

Like Pertinax, I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find an internet link to the Indian rhinoceros studbook; does anybody have it please?

The following may be of interest:-

Marwell maintains the studbooks for Grevy’s zebra, Hartmann’s mountain zebra and scimitar-horned oryx. See the link below for these three studbooks:-

Ostrava Zoo maintains the European Studbook for common hippopotamus. See the link below:-

Barcelona have been kind enough to make the 2011 White Naped and Cherry Crowned Mangabey studbook avaliable for download via there website (scroll down page to find the link)
News and press notes

I just found this page on Rotterdam Zoo's website, it has EEP/EAZA studbooks for red pandas, Asian elephants, giraffes, Komodo dragons, crested pigeons and Visayan warty pigs, plus some husbandry guidelines.
