Oh, thank you for the information. I wasn’t sure if Shepreth were participating in the EEP. They may not be able to house a breeding pair but it makes me wonder if eventually a tiger will be placed there in the meantime before once again transferring. Same goes for Thrigby considering their smaller sized enclosure.
 
Safari Zoo (aka South Lakes) will go out of Tigers later this year. The current sibling pair (Cinta and Kumbuh, born at Doue La Fontaine in 2014) will be moving to an as yet unspecified zoo overseas.

Guys, we have some news that we know will disappoint many – Sumatran Tigers Cinta and Kumbuh will be leaving Cumbria within the next 2 months. We don’t have an date set as yet, we anticipate it to be mid September and wanted to give you all as much notice as we could to say your goodbyes.

The Tiger Twins are almost 10 years old and have been in Dalton since they were just over a year, it is time for them to see the world (they have itchy paws!).

The Twins are headed overseas, they are off to an incredible facility sourced at our request by a Senior Member of BIAZA who has been working with us behind the scenes since 2017, which means you can rest assured they have a pawesome future ahead. Tigers in the wild can roam 32km in just one night – Cinta and Kumbuh are off to a facility offering much more space for them to enjoy and explore.

As always, it is up to the receiving institution to announce their arrival so we cannot let you know exactly where they are destined just yet, but we will bring you news of how they are settling in as soon as we can.
 
Sumatran tigress Nonja died at Diergaarde Blijdorp this morning. She and male Geram had been introduced together for the first time the day before. This introduction ended in a fight, after which keepers separated the two animals again. This morning, Nonja was found dead. Further examination showed she had a bleeding of her lung. Most likely caused by a fang of the male. Due to her fur, this injury had not been spotted earlier.

Are the parents of the tiger cubs(Asim and Gaysa?) still in London Zoo? I recently see only the cubs. If not, where they moved?

Yes, they're still at London. There are plans to move the cubs on soon though I believe.
 
About Lisbon Zoo,
- What is the name of the actual ones ?
- Is LAGARTO still there (born 2009 and present in 2012), or did he move ?

Woodside is a new holder for Sumatran Tiger's.

Nila was born at Chester in October 2011 and lived at Le PAL for several years before being moved to Reynou as a companion for her brother.

She may be past her breeding prime now at 13 years of age!

Did she ever have cubs of her own or was she considered too over-represented?

Nila had two male cubs at Le PAL in 2015. Since moving to Reynou, she's been on a contraceptive implant to allow her to live with her brother (Topan).

Fwiw - I don't think the move to Woodside is intended to be a breeding situation. They still have a single (elderly) hybrid Amur female at present. So unlikely to have space for a male Sumatran too.

But they have been approved as Sumatran holders by the EEP for a few years now. So taking Nila on (as a retired breeding female) allows them to "get a foot in the door" as such and eventually once they have an empty Tiger exhibit again and a young pair become available - they are set up, and ready to go as far the studbook is concerned.

I believe the sisters Kiara and Surami should be the other way round. As the female tiger at Burgers' Zoo is called Kiara.
