Rekordmånga djur ute på savannen!

Four pictures from the close to six acre big savanna, working well since 1965 or something like that.

Nice mixture of species; the elephant herd nursing baby M’Changa alongside with Cape Buffaloes and giraffes taking care of their calfves. Then many other species are out there on the savanna as well, although not all of them can be seen in these pictures...

I love this zoo, even though I haven´t visited it for 30 years. I just have to pack my bag sometime and go there again...

Do elephants really live there together with buffalo, giraffes and antelopes?

Oh yes. See the many picture examples in the Gallery. The concept has been working for some 40+ years now. The breeding male is kept in his own enclosure, about one acre big.
