I think @natel12 means that Pittsburgh has surgeonfish, tangs and unicornfish - which, in a thread dedicated to the infinite variety of these fish, isn't, in itself, massively illuminating as a comment. @natel12: as a relative newcomer to the site, you have enthusiastically contributed to a number of threads in a very short time - it might be worthwhile to limit your postings, making sure that when you do add something you have something worth adding. You're not the first new member to adopt a scattergun approach, and I'm sure you won't be the last, but slowing down and thinking can result in your having a more positive relationship with the focus as a whole.
My sincerest apologies to everyone I confused i should have realized that with a page like this o should have went into more depth the Pittsburgh zoo has palette surgeon fish yellow tangs and whitemargin unicorn fish naso lituratus and this might not be helpful but I know there are loads more these are the ones I can remember

49) Naso brachycentron - Humpback unicornfish. Very rare in European collections and at the moment only 2 which have it in their collection -Stralsund and Basel. Althrough Basel is well-visited by ZooChatters, sofar no photos of any captive Humpback unicornfishes but Hix has posted a poto he made in the wild which can be found here : Humpback Unicornfish | ZooChat
50) Naso brevirostris - Spotted unicornfish : well represented in ( European ) public collections with 40 collections displaying it. 51) Naso caerulecauda - Blue unicorn. Rare species in Europe with only 2 keepers. I wasn't able to find any photos of this species in the Gallery.
52) Naso caesius - Gray unicornfish. A species completly unknown in the European zoo-scene and also at the Gallery no photos of it exist.
53) Naso elegans - Elegant unicornfish. One of the more frequently kept species with at the moment 40 zoos / aquariums having it. In the Galery a good number of photos can be found like this one, made by me at a Dutch pet-shop : Naso elegans | ZooChat
54) Naso fageni - Horseface unicornfish. Never kept in European public collection ( according to Zootierliste ) and I was not able to find pictures of it in our Gallery.

60) Naso minor - Slender unicorn. And also this species is unknown in European zoos and aquariums and also from this species no photos in the Gallery.
As said before, it is well possible that from some of the species I wasn't able to find photos in our Gallery, there are actualy photos but then without scientific name, different english names as I was able to find and/or simply uploaded as being "unicornfish", "surgeonfish" or as being ID-needed. Hopefully more people will start to pay more attention to this and also durng their zoo-visit notice the exactly names of the fish they are looking at.

63) Naso thynnoides - One-knife unicornfish. And again a species without any records from European collections and also no photos in the Gallery.
64) Naso tonganus - Bulbnose unicornfish. For this one at least some collections keeping it, 3 European zoos and aquariums have it on display. 65) Naso tuberosus - Humpnose unicornfish : A very rare species in European collections and at the moment only 2 collections are keeping it. I wasn't able to find any photos of it in the Gallery.

71) Prionurus laticlavius - Razor surgeonfish. A rarely-kept species and at the moment only 2 European collections have it on display. It was at one of these ( Blijdorp - Rotterdam Zoo ) that I made the only picture which can be found in the Gallery : Cortez surgeonfish | ZooChat .
72) Prionurus maculatus - Yellowspotted sawtail. From this species no information about it being kept at European collections and also not able to find any photos in the Gallery.

74) Prionurus punctatus - Yellow-tail surgeonfish. At the moment prop. not kept in European zoos and aquariums but at least untill 2014 / 2015 it should have been kept at Rotterdam Zoo. I didn't found any photos of it in the Gallery but still have to check some of my own files so maybe....
75) Prionurus scalprum. Also this species isn't kept in European collections but in 2011 it was kept at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwaterworld. Didn't find photos of it in the Gallery.
76) Zebrasoma desjardinii - Indian sailfin surgeonfish. One of the more commonly kept species and Zootierliste mention 66 ( European ) collections keeping it. By searching for more photos of species not represented in our Gallery I came along someting very strange. I myself uploaded a picture ( this one Razor surgeonfish | ZooChat ) of a Prionurus- species, thinking it being the Razor ( or Cortez ) surgeonfish - number 71 in my list.
Because I found on Zootierliste that Rotterdam kept at that time also Yellow-tailed surgeonfishes ( Prionurus punctatus ) - number 74 of my list I wanted to find the difference between the 2 species and came on a site where both species are pictured. Evenso this site wasn't very usefull because there are 2 times the same picture but this same photo bares 2 times a different name ( one time it is called Prionurus laticlavius and one time the same photo bares the name Prionurus Prionurus punctatus ( on this site Prionurus -- Discover Life ).
My question is of course, are there any ZooChatters who can tell the species apart and which species are sofar in the Gallery :
Cortez surgeonfish | ZooChat = Prionurus laticlavius ?
Razor surgeonfish | ZooChat = Prionurus punctatus ?

This week I was again at Coralandfishstore in Breda - the Netherlands and found some nice specimens of the Two-spot surgeonfish ( Ctenochaetus binotatus - number 39 of the list ). Because the species was still not represented in the Gallery I made some photos of it and have uploaded them in the Netherlands -other Gallery and one of them can be found here :

Last year on my birthday ( Oct. 15 2016 ) I visited Rotterdam Zoo and made a lot of photos, among them several of a species of surgeonfish I couldn't identify.
Today I uploaded a photo of 2 specimens with the question to identify them and already within an hour one of our great fish-specialists ( Hix ) identified it as being the Ocean surgeon. This species is kept at a small number of European collections ( 8 at the moment ), Rotterdam being one of them.
Sofar the species was not represented in our ZooChat Gallery ( at least not identified ) so this is the first photo of it : Ocean surgeon - Acanthurus bahianus | ZooChat

By checking some of my pictures I discovered a surgeonfish which I now could identify as being the Thompson's surgeonfish ( Acanthurus thompsoni ). It was in a dutch aquarium-shop and because I sofar had no information about captive keeping this species a make a note of it here.
And because the only picture of the species in the Gallery is taken by Hix in the wild I uploaded 2 pictures of the ones I observed in the aquarium-shop, being the first captive ones in the Gallery ( see Thompson's surgeonfish - Acanthurus thompsoni | ZooChat and Thompson's surgeonfish - Acanthurus thompsoni | ZooChat ).

SeaWorld in Australia keeps orange band surgeonfish, eye-striped surgeonfish and clown triggerfish.
Triggerfish aren't the subject of this thread but evenso nice to know about the other 2 species ! Esp. because sofar hardly any information about Australian public Aquariums is published and many species of the surgeonfishes, tangs and unicornfishes are native to said continent ! So I guess there must be much more species be kept at Australia from which we have no knowledge...... hopefully some ( Australian ) ZooChatters can change this, so thank you very much animal_expert01 to make a start with this !
