Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium SwampDonkey's Wildlife World trip reports

Is that what they are building across from the current tiger enclosure? There was no sign saying what they were building there but it was a large construction area

Yeah, that is it. There was a sign in October, the inside seemed to be largely complete, but there were no fences or anything yet. Perhaps they removed the sign if they are doing those parts now?

There was a sign but just a generic "work in progress", nothing stating what was specifically being built.

ah, maybe I put that in on my memory. They had previously announced it on Instagram, so I probably just put it together in my head :)

I went on my annual pilgrimage to Wildlife World this past week, it was a great time as it always is. Lots of new construction is taking place and changes noticed since my last visit:
  • Tigers still U/C (it looks pretty much complete)
  • New massive U/C exhibit beside Dragon World where the old red river hog (still one in Safari Park) and "birds" were located.
  • Serval replaced ocelot in the Original Zoo
  • Green Iguana exhibit looks nearly complete
  • New capybara exhibit in the Aquarium area
  • New mystery exhibit U/C to replace the outdoor koi pond in the Aquarium area
  • New jellyfish coming in two tanks in the Diversity of Life in Water building
  • Sharks shuffled between the large tanks
  • New mudskipper and arrow frog tanks in the gift shops
  • Black backed jackal replaced singing dogs (there are now two black backed jackal exhibits)
  • Blue duiker now in one of the king vulture aviaries (along with the original exhibit beside the train).
  • Most signs have been replaced with new signs, gone are the faded old ones.
  • Aldabra and Galapagos tortoises were out.
  • Fallow deer now reside with capybara and rhea in the large field in the Adventureland area.
  • Pronghorn seem to be gone.
I took note of how many deer species they have, it is a good collection IMO:
  • Mule
  • Axis
  • Sika
  • Fallow

They also have a good collection of macropods, notably missing wallaroo, however.
  • Grey kangaroo
  • Red kangaroo
  • Swamp wallaby
  • Agile wallaby

Supposedly there were weasels in the jungle gift shop, I am wondering if you saw them on your latest visit and what were they signed as?

There are three tanks that I know of in the gift shops. One has mudskippers, one arrow frogs, and one a turtle (side neck I think), I am not sure of a weasel, but I may have missed one of the tanks.
