Sydney Zoo Sydney Zoo's Bull Sharks have died

It would be good to see them try again.
Even better if they can turn it into a salt or brackish system to see of the chances of them surviving are better.

I wonder if they were trying to escape the tank to migrate to salt. Adult usually predominantly stay in the brackish or salt zones and periodically move into the fresh zones. Ive seen younger ones jump up rapids in there travels before.

It could be worth a try.

I found one source that said the majority of Bull sharks that remained in a freshwater environment failed to survive beyond four years, but the leading cause of mortality was starvation - implying the migration to a saltwater environment is at least partly food driven.
