I uploaded 60+ photos of “T&D’s Cats of the World” into the gallery. The place already had a gallery section, but it was always empty. This is a very mixed place. All of the animals are rescues, and some exhibits are strong but others are pretty awful. I will hopefully post a full review soon.

Thanks for the photos! I keep meaning to get up there but they have pretty limited hours and I've never gotten around to it. There's few photos of the place online.

I’m glad you liked the pictures! I normally wouldn’t go out of my way to go somewhere like here, but I have a close friend whose family is from central PA and he used to go to T&D’s and Reptiland all the time when he was younger. He’s told me a lot about both places and invited me to come for a weekend and see both parks in person. Stopping in Syracuse to see the twin elephants was a beautiful bonus for the trip.

I've been planning on doing some sort of combo of Clyde Peeling's, Lake Tobias, Penn's Cave, and this place. All but Reptiland have weird hours though, and the latter two require getting on transport with a big group of strangers, so I haven't exactly been rushing to get there lol. They all have not-so-great reputations, too.

I didn't realize Reptiland had a bad reputation too! What is the controversy with them?

Employee stuff, I think? It comes up in a PA group I'm in. I'd normally write it off as ARA bs but I usually see it in the context of "Philly/Pittsburgh/Elmwood Park, etc are good zoos to go to, don't go to Reptiland".

I found an article explaining the controversy with Reptiland. Apparently there are some animal welfare concerns? And there was religious discrimination due to a dress code where employees were not allowed to wear things like yarmulkes or burkas: Clyde Peeling's Reptiland: A prized zoo meets wave of employee allegations
