Takin

Can anybody tell me any zoos in the U.S.(accredited or down to the smallest private places) that have any Takin?? Also, for the Canadian members, did or does the Toronto Zoo have Takin? I thought they had them but can't find them on their website now. Thanks for any help given!

With regards to Toronto, I've seen plans for the renovated Eurasia section to include Takin, but as the case is with many zoo renovations, likely nothing set in stone.

We have one

The AZA-accredited Mill Mountain Zoo in Roanoke, VA has a Takin. His name is Liam and he is a big jerk for those of us who care for him

Malakia, almost went to MMZ this past summer when I did a Mid-Atlantic zoo trip but didn't get to. I think I will definately try again this summer and make MMZ part of the trip this time.

Denver was the only NA Zoo that I knew to have Mishmi Takin. To bad they aren't there any more. According to ISIS San Diego Zoo had 1 Mishmi Takin. Can anyone clarify this.
