Tanganyika Wildlife Park Tanganyika Wildlife Park

They do stay inside depending on the temp, though and in kansas we can have winter were its all in the negatives or when the low is just above freezing its kansas the weather is very bipolar.....very......we can have all four seasons in one day i am not kidding, lol and we have two red pandas and we do want them to breed, but in my opinion i dont think they like each other like that, you know, lol. Other than that the animals all handle the winter very well, and they handle staying inside very well.

I have visited the park and the first thing that I noticed was the cleanliness of the place. I am talking manicured lawns and something resembling miniature golf and garden type features. The animals also seem to be happy there. I got the white Bengal tiger to chuff and it kept chuffing, it was so happy. The red pandas have interaction and they are much more active than some of the other zoos I have been to. The fact that you can feed the rhino just blew me away! I was not expecting anyone to be able to feed a rhino. The ring tail lemur feeding was also one of the main reasons I wanted to visit. It was very cathartic. Despite it being a small zoo, its worth the time to visit.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone does have some information about the tigers at Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Goddard, Kansas. According to USDA Tanganyika Wildlife Park currently houses 7 tigers.

I just watched a video on their site and in it it says that there are only 6 Javan Langurs left in the US. I assume that that would mean they have some there yet Bronx has at least 1.5 Javan Langurs so what's up with that?

In one of the earlier posts it was mentioned that the Clouded leopards were not mentioned in ISIS. Because of the obvious good breeding results with this difficult species I want to ask if they have become in the meantime part of some sort of breeding programm because the species can use it !

I just uploaded approximately 55 photos of this zoo into the gallery. I'm just letting folks know in case the images get lost in the shuffle as not everyone checks the gallery on a regular basis.

Nice I had not heard of any Melanistic Amur Leopards occurring before.

Wild Amur leopards don´t show any melanistic individuals, now or in historic times.

However, the captive population in Europe and elsewhere has been mixed with one North Chinese individual in the past. A few melanistic Amur leopards have been born in zoos in Europe. Here is an example, a black male at Prague

A mandrill was born June 19th to Demitri and Iris. The girl hasn't been named yet.

The new splash park is back open, after closing due to guests getting sick.

In a November 13 Instagram post Tanganyika only mentioned having 2 young melanistic Amur leopards. Does anyone know what happened to the 3rd cub born on April 13?
