Tanganyika Wildlife Park Tanganyika Wildlife Park

Walked around the park recently and I have a few updates:

- Black Howler Monkeys have been replaced by Red Ruffed Lemurs
- Clouded Leopards have been replaced by King Vulture. Binturong exhibit is empty.
- A new aviary area has opened with Spectacled Owl, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Red-crested Turaco, Toco Toucan, Umbrella Cockatoo, Blue and yellow Macaw, Scarlet Macaw, Nicobar Pigeon, and Victoria Crowned Pigeon. The area is called the "Nest Aviaries" according to the map online.

Four juvenile female and one juvenile male southern white rhino's have been added, they are currently BTS until the park allows for an "experience" (IE, paid) with them. They were imported from Africa, but the article does not say from where.
Welcoming New White Rhinos - Tanganyika Wildlife Park
This past week, we welcomed five Southern White Rhinos from Africa for the new Safari Park!

Awaiting the arrival of these magnificent creatures over the past two years has been anything but easy – but they are finally here! One male and four female Southern White Rhinos arrived at our park on the 29th where they were carefully let into our new Safari Barn located just East of the giraffes.
..........
As of right now, they are not visible to the public because they are adjusting to their new surroundings which will take some time, however, be on the lookout for an exciting experience with them!

We’ll have a trackless train that goes around the perimeter of the safari area and guided tours on trucks that go through the middle of the yard, that’s still at least 2 years out and we are currently raising money both through fundraising and through savings to progress that project

Oh my gosh! I don’t know how I didn’t see that! Sorry about that! But it is exciting, the first rhino calf in North America in 2023!

The only litter of melanistic Amur leopards announced were born 13 April 2021, but Roza would be too young to be from that litter. Does anyone know her birth date or number of cubs in the litter? I have looked on Tanganyika's website but cannot find any report of Amur leopards born in 2022.

The cubs from that litter are all still technically 1. They'll be 2 on April 13. One of the other cubs from that litter, a female named Mischa, is at Panther Ridge Conservation in Florida.
