I don't suppose you know where the zoo's new otters came from?
 
To be honest, I haven't asked where the new otters came from... but can do so next time I'm there, OK? I think they are from an Australian zoo, but don't quote me on that...

that would be great, thanks. I couldn't find any Australian otters with those names, but they could easily be offspring from some of the imported animals.

Thank you zooboy28... the young chimps (and gorilla baby) are at a very photogenic age now, aren't they? The current print advertising Taronga are running in all the papers (the 2 for 1 offer ad) have one of my photos as the main picture too...

I was at Taronga today and sought out a keeper to ask where the otters came from...

Male (Ketut?) from Perth Zoo
Female (Pia?) from Melbourne Zoo

If the male's name is Ketut, then the female's name should be Rhonda.

The Rockhampton Zoo in central Queensland has added two otters to its collection, with 13-year-old brothers Soa and Houdini transferred from Sydney's Taronga Zoo. Last year but nothing on Bising.

those are Bising's younger brothers. Bising is deceased.
