My wife and I where in Sydney last week. We decided to spend an afternoon at Taronga. The new Asian rainforest/ elephant precinct was open. At the moment the langurs and gibbons are not on display. The aviaries have birds in them but you can't walk through them yet. The otters, tapirs, binturongs and fishing cats are in their new enclosures. The elephant's area looks pretty good and it will give people a great close up view of them in thier pools. Some of the viewing areas are a bit small and there may be a problem with over-crowding in these areas at times. I am looking forward to seeing the elephants arrive and all the other animals go on display. I just hope the enclosure is big enough for 5 elephants.
