On July 12th, the zoo announced that their (0.1) Patagonian cavy named Daisy has passed away at age 14 due to old age a week prior. The zoo is working with the cavy SSP to determine if they could acquire more.

Also on July 12th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) American white pelican has passed away at ~15 years old.

On October 28th, the zoo announced they acquired (1.1) collared lemurs named Gatsby and Odette which are now on exhibit with the ring-tailed lemurs in the Primate Center.

On May 30th, the zoo announced that they transferred a (0.1) red panda named Saffron to the Chattanooga Zoo in Tennessee.

On June 7th, it was announced that the zoo transferred a (1.0) red-necked wallaby (later named Winton) to the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington D.C.

On June 17th, the zoo announced that they acquired (1.1) Patagonian cavies named Baxter and Bard from the Toledo Zoo in Ohio which are now on exhibit across from the flamingos.

On June 26th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) red-flanked duiker was born on June 25th.

On August 3rd, the zoo announced that Humphrey passed away after an infection on a leg bone was found after surgery was done on one of its legs.
