Tehran Zoo witnesses first elephant birth
The zoo has announced the first birth of an elephant in Iran. The calf was born on May 15, 2021, it is a female, her name is Maisa and she is doing well. The parents are 16-year-old Mihiri and 17-year-old Mahasen, for whom she is her first calf.
