Does anyone know how I can get hold of a copy of Molly Dineen's 1993 BBC TV series "The Ark"? I am mainly interested in the episode(s) about the orangutans moving to Paignton Zoo.
 
I'd be very eagre to know if anyone has this series on tape/available. I can't imagine it ever getting repeated.
 
I'm guessing you've already come across this but the BFI Screenonline website has some short video clips from the series, and it looks as though a couple of them feature orangs.

Unless you work in a school or university you will probably have to go to a library registered with the service in order to watch them (seems daft in this era of youtube, but there you go).

No,I'm sure it will never be repeated as it was a sort of 'capsule in time' in London Zoo's history. Incidentally, Frank Wheeler, the keeper who featured quite prominently in the series and became a bit of a 'star' through his insightful opinions, sadly died recently. He was incredibly knowledgeable, particularly about small mammal husbandry...
 
I may have the odd episode on tape, I'll get them out of storage in the next couple of weeks.
 
Will have a look at my video collection think i`ve got the lot on tape some where if i have will get it transfered on to DVD if any ones intrested????????

Think i`ve got it all just need to see my friends hwo can transfer it to DVD then i can sort out copys.
 
Sorry for the delay forgot to hand it over to the people who are going to transfer it to DVD,will do so when they come back from their holiday towards the end of the month.
 
Oops sorry forgot to hand it over when i saw them last weekend if i have time will pop over to Chester tomorrow and hand it over to them if not will give it to them over the easter weekend.
