Thought this may start some interesting discussions on England's woeful performance in the first test.

Anyone else watching this misery (well if your english )?

Disappointing end to the days play today after a great start, hopefully Broad & Swann can support Strauss to a toal of 450ish

Were hoping, just need someone to stick around with Strauss but with tomorrow looking at being a washout were going to need to put that hundred runs on quickly.

Stats and records are there to be beaten, and were having a goodish day today. A few more quick wickets and the Australia will be in a bit of trouble.

Also good conditions for bowling out there.

Not sure we will enforce the follow on, may try and get a big lead and have 2 days to bowl them out.....if we get them cheaply this time

We would be silly not to force it, 3 days to go (as long as we can get the remaining 2 wickets quickly).

Englands bowling has been immaculate over the past few days, a great improvement on Cardiff, i don't think Australia will reach their target 1-0 England i think

Now KP is out who will replace him? the press say Bell looks likely but Shah is scoring runs again and Key has been talked about as well

Bell will do a job for us, KP has not be great so far. They only problem that without him there are less people in the England team that can score a match winning total.

If I was Strauss I would look to post a score of 450-500 (if possible).

150 end of play would be nice today without any more loses, and then when we reach the 200 mark open up the play and try and score lots of quick runs due to the weather. Then hopefully we'll get some time to try and bowl them out to take a 2-nil lead.

4th test = disaster

I agree.

Bopara should be dropped for the next test, move bell up to number 3 and bring trott in at 4.

Only hope is if we can bat for the day we may get rain the last two days! But its just wishfull thinking
