Wildlands Emmen The city counsil of Emmen has agreed with building the new zoo!

I suppose it's not too difficult to see where the new savannah will be, and the large greenhouse will also be easy to spot. The greenhouse will have an indoorfunction for the asiatic elephants, the new indoor enclosure will be as large as their current outside enclosure. Orang Utans will be swinging over the elephants and the heads of the visitors, crocodiles will be on display in the new butterfly house, and the baboons will be housed in a replica of an old roman-nubean arena.

As far as my information goes, the sharks will have a new large aquarium in the new city theater. I do not have any inforamtion about other species to inhabit this display, unfortunately.
 
No, this is the final plan. There is a possibility for adding some more species, and perhaps polar bears instead of wolves, but no big changes. There is some uncertainty concerning the shark aquarium in the theater, but that's the council's responsibility ( allthough it will be in cooperation with the zoo). So unless things take a turn for the worst, there will be no more major changes.

They will not design the entire entrance complex. The entire concept spins around 5 'worlds' ; the 3 zoo-worlds, the world of the theatre, and the world where it all comes together; a public square called 'world of the encounter'. The architect will design the theatre and the municipal part of the square. The entrance of the zooworlds will be designed by the zoo. But, some nice facts about the theatre; it will contain a large shark aquarium, with acrylic tunnel, some smaller aquariums, and visitors can see the gharials lying on their beach from the theatre's restaurant.
