The Gecko King and Gecko Gambit have amazing animals!
A couple of young herpetologists are opening a gecko zoo in New York City. The collection has 70 species, mostly geckos. The article makes note that all of the animals are permitted and come from known ethical sources.

I have a few Roux's giant gecko and Knob-headed giant gecko from Mr. Laleh. Very nice gentleman
Yesterday I went to The Gecko Gallery, on the first full day it was open, and had an amazing time meeting the owners and their display animals. They really put a heavy focus on lizards uncommon in zoos. I'm currently writing up a species list and adding photos to the "United States - Other" gallery.

Yep! At least one pair. They like to snuggle in a log.

I'm looking forward to the list of species and you've already posted some great images in the gallery. Is the zoo as small as it appears in photos? Also, are there signs and information on the terrariums or do the owners tell the public what species they have in each exhibit? Lastly, I see that The Gecko Gallery has a partnership with The Bone Museum...did you check out the bones?
Apparently there is "the largest collection of human spines on public display in the United States" (quoted from their website) and over 150 skulls. Since each attraction has the same address, it would appear that all those geckos and skulls are in one building!
They said the room was too warm for them, so they didn't bring them in.

The zoo is a single small office room in the basement of an apartment complex, where there's a lot of rooms rented out to various businesses. Shelves of vivariums cover three walls and a center island, and both tickets and merchandise are sold at the front desk by the door. The Bone Museum is in a larger single office room, and they have another small room as their gift shop. I looked at it really fast. The entire basement office hall of this building share one set of public restrooms/water fountains. Visitors to both museums need security to unlock the building complex's entrance for them.
Most, but far from all, tanks are labeled. For the rest, I had to ask the owners what was in them.
