The Great British Wildlife Restoration (GBWR) celebrates the conservation of native species in the British Isles. Good zoos are integral to many conservation projects and ensuring our wild Isles are thriving with nature.

Members of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums were asked to enter their native species conservation work to the GBWR in 2023, and these are the resulting projects you can vote for: The Great British Wildlife Restoration | Biaza

Thanks for the link! I have cast my vote and personally there was one collection which stood above the rest. Don't get me wrong all conservation work will be having an impact, it's just I felt my particular vote went to the one that seems to be doing more work than the others and for the benefit of the most species.

Just to note, the voting is only permitted for MPs and peers, if the text near the top is any indication (other votes won't be counted).

Yes, without wishing to be political, a more venal bunch of money grasping mouth breathers with no consideration for anything but their own, you could not wish not to meet.*

There are good and bad in every walk of life.

I think that most UK zoos and probably worldwide do good work for conservation, our local zoo, Chester certainly does a lot of work locally for conservation as well as abroad
