The Maritime Aquarium The Maritime Aquarium News

LEO Zoological Conservation Center will have a Magnificent Mammal Monday on January 21st at Maritime Aquarium, which contains a Red Kangaroo joey, Armadillo, a Fennec Fox, and curiously, an African Penguin.

Important news!
Due to their original success, African Penguins will be coming back to Maritime Aquarium for a two-month encore exhibit. They will be here from Valentine's Day to spring break! They will be on loan from LEO Zoological Conservation Center.
African Penguins

I went to the aquarium today, and had a nice little visit. Not much has changed, but...
The penguins seem to be doing well. The exhibit is a bit disappointing, but I expected that, as it is only a temporary exhibit.
I didn't see the Chain Catsharks or Spiny Dogfish in the Shark Touch Pool.
The left half of the river otter exhibit had its water drained out, and only one otter was on exhibit.

Divers for Aquatic Solutions of Campbell, CA are at Maritime for a couple of weeks, doing maintenance. Yesterday, they were working on the shark tank.

Jack Hanna will be at the aquarium tomorrow with two shows, at 4:00 and 6:00 P.M. respectively. One confirmed animal for both of the shows is a baby Fennec Fox.
