I'm probably wrong but I thought the consensus was the t rex may have light downy feathers on some places but it won't look like a bird since too much feathering on such a large creature may lead it overheat especially in a warmer region.
...and there's always the possibility the young may have had a bit more feathers.

No, normal people can't edit eBird descriptions. Someone at Cornell wrote that poem and snuck it into the eBird description.
This might not exactly fit in this thread, but who in the heck has been editing eBird recently?? :confused:

Yeah it's been like this for a couple years. The description for New Caledonian Crow used to read "smarter than most mammals, including a significant portion of humanity", but that's been removed. :p
