The Nonsense Thread

Probably a meerkat
what? you mean there's other mongoose species that are possible? So many zoos will be shocked!

Fortunately, it isn't, it's the same old yellow mongoose- but i think Brum might take offence at being called a tractor!

So it seems that a set of identical space twins have had their DNA tested and it was found that because one of the brothers was in space for a year and the other was on Earth, their genes have mutated or something, and now the genes of one of the brothers are 7% different from the other brother. So I guess he's dead now?

I read this story the other day in my local newspaper and thought I'd better find out what it was really about.

A good article here on why most of the news reports are nonsense.

So last month I've come across a guy on YouTube who thinks that volcanoes, geysers, tornadoes, and a whole heap of exotic animals (like Komodo dragons, gorillas, orangutans, narwhals, platypuses, great white sharks, anacondas, marlins and koalas) are hoaxes pushed by the satanic elite to prove evolution and discredit the Bible. Troll or not, he is taken seriously by many people in the comments who agree with him. And he also has a series of videos in which he argues that many if not most or all public figures are satanic transgenders (including Shakespeare, who knew they had gender reassignment in the 1500s?), which is part of a wider conspiracy community. Not surprisingly, he also believes the Earth is flat, and that the Vietnam and Civil Wars never happened.

He argues that gorillas, orangutans and Komodo dragons in zoos are people in suits, that koalas are animatronics, that zebras are painted horses/mules, and that platypuses are beavers with prosthetics. Don't quote me on this, but I think he might have videos on some (but not all) giraffes in zoos being giants in suits, and sharks in aquariums being holograms.

I'll have to put a warning that his channel contains transphobic and homophobic videos, but he goes by the name of Hans Wormhat. His channel, not surprisingly, is often deleted for hate speech.
Seeing this channel, and I’m like rolling my eyes so hard.

He is definitely a troll. He cannot possibly be serious. People in suits! Lol!

“Discredit the Bible”. Bleh. I’m Catholic and I believe in evolution (except for the belief that humans are related to animals and came from apes, but let’s leave it there). I believe that science can be right. “Discredit the Bible”. Freakin’ nonsense.

Even trolls have changed with the times- they now just try and stop you taking logical reasoning over the internet. When they're not busy battling with Norwegian troll hunters, that is.
