I don't get this or the grizzly joke.
Terrible weather outside, it's raining cats and dogs. well as long as it doesn't reindeer.

It could be worse, they could be anti-jokes that are being told.
the Striker joke is from Airplane (or Flying High depending on which country the movie was released in). It doesn't really work in the written form. It also depends on you knowing that the character's name was Ted Striker!!
The grizzly joke doesn't even make sense. How is a grizzly unBEARable? A grizzly is a bear.
Also, puns only work if they are in relation to something. The first two of epickoala's "puns" (the hippocrite and the minnow ones) have no relation to either nanoboy's comment or anything else in the joke itself - all that's been done is one or more words have been changed to a similar sounding word with no relevance to anything. The third one (the reindeer one) does work.
