The Nonsense Thread

As you can see, I didn't really try very hard to find the threads, haha. Thank you, Chlidonias. I will definitely make sure to search under alternate tags/search every forum section next time. :p
just add "Chlidonias" into all your search terms. Chlidonias makes everything better.

Or it can make things take a rather surprising tern.....

I was of course referring only to the Zoochat search bar. Any reference on Zoochat to Chlidonias is generally connected either directly or indirectly to Chlidonias so the search will end you in the same place anyway. :p

Okay, am I the only one who's tried finding the old Guess the Species threads to try and relive old memories? (The one coming to mind most often is, of course, the albino ostrich chick, which we'll never let "the all-seeing Chli" live down.)
I just locked the last thread (#5) because it hadn't been posted in for ages, so if you or anyone wants to start a new one then feel free.

idiots who get tattoos are always funny: 10 Misspelled Tattoos | DailyFunLists.com

The thing I always wonder about with misspelled tattoos is that it isn't usually a quick spur of the moment action like writing something on a bit of paper. A tattoo is usually something which goes past more than one person before being permanently etched into the flesh. You'd think someone would pick up an obvious mistake along the way.

I know a few tattoo artists. Generally it fits one of two reasons - the rule is "You pick it I stick it" meaning the artists aren't supposed to comment on customers choices by shop policy. Or they find the guy getting it an idiot and are in on the joke that Nature is playing on the dude.

ha, I remember one time I was getting a tattoo and there was another guy there getting a tiger on his arm. He was admiring it in a mirror when it was finished, and I said "the eyes are crooked" :D

(I mean, they were crooked, not just slightly askew but seriously out of line with one another!)

I went to college with a couple of tattoo artists. One of them actually ended up with two art degrees (and went after a third, if architecture counts). His tattoos were hideous. His arms (and possibly his back and torso, I never took it upon myself to find out) were literally sleeved in tattoos. If his tattoo artist made any mistakes I could never tell because his skin just looked like a jumbled mess. When I met him in one of my classes for the first time I thought he was wearing a long sleeved shirt under his t shirt. Don't know why but I found it creepy at the time. He was also kind of a jerk until he found out that someone he hated tried to take advantage of me. After that he was nice to me, especially after I gave him lots of dirt on this person.

What tattoos do you have?

that's both hilarious and scary at the same time...

Though I'm not sure it's as scary as Russia Today's tagline being 'question more' - that's a bit Orwellian (or Sir Humpreyish - "Always dispose of the difficult bit in the title - it does less damage there than in the text.").

Or as scary as the fact that Russian Google actually does use that map with the border placed to have Crimea as Russian, while the UK version has it still Ukrainian, with a disputed border...

Well, CNN says Auckland is in Australia, which is as understandable a mistake as placing Havana in Florida, or Mexico City in California.
