The Nonsense Thread

Any thoughts on the Family Guy/Simpsons crossover? It should be good, but I personally believe they're mainly doing it because both shows are past their prime and/or they've just run out of ideas.

They did a Family Guy/Simpsons crossover?

I remember they did an episode where Peter ruined TV or something and Homer made an appearance but didn't know about a crossover.

It's still in production. It's coming out in September, I'm pretty sure. It'll be the season premiere for both shows.

Yeah, I haven't been paying much attention to baseball this season, but the big recent transactions have really surprised me. I'm sort of confused at what Boston was/is trying to do with this season. They basically did what the Dallas Mavericks (NBA) did the year after their championship in 2011 by letting some of their core players either leave to other teams or trading them away. But again, I could be wrong - like I said I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention this year. :p

I had a dream this weekend, after spending the day doing the job of someone else, that I was watching a movie called "Whale to the Chief". I'm not entirely sure what the plot was but it appeared to be about a Beluga whale who was somehow a higher up at the White House and spent all of its time soaking foreign dignitaries with cold, fishy water.

My dreams usually end up with me being pursued by deadly spies, lethal aliens, mobsters, etc.

I'm sure Freud could make something interesting out of that.

I am a teenage boy and thus cannot discuss my dreams on a forum such as this, sorry.

:p

Same goes for all men really. :D

Has anyone experienced a dream within a dream like the movie 'Inception'? I have them from time to time, and those are the freakiest dreams of all!

I like the dreams where you become aware that you're dreaming and thus can control it.

Freud would probably say that I was suffering from penis envy and that I viewed my mother as a romantic rival and wanted to marry my father. Then when I told him it was a load of dung he would accuse me of being in denial. Then I would get years of probably (or mostly, I don't mind Freud the Clinician all that much, its Freud the Theorist that really bugs me) worthless (for it has never really been proven to be efficacious mostly and for the most part psychoanalysts are a dying breed) psychoanalysis. My degree in Psychology at work!

So here's a brain teaser for you.

Chlidonias's 'birth day' technically began at 12:00am 5 August (New Zealand time). His 'birth day' technically ended at 11:59pm 5 August (New Zealand time).

However, suppose that Chlidonias welcomed his birthday in Auckland at 12am 5 August, and then jumped on a private jet to circle the globe (from east to west), celebrating his birthday with Zoochatters in different cities? Assuming that he ends his birthday at 11:59pm 5 August (local time) in the most westerly inhabited island (just east of the international date line), how many hours would Chlidonias have celebrated his birthday for?

23 hours. (or rather, 22hr 59 min)
