The only collection in the UK that you can see a.....

I don't think I've seen the Pallas' long-tongued bats at Bristol mentioned yet, if they're still there?

Exhibit was 'empty-for-refurbishment' last week - not sure if they're just temporarily off-show or not.

I don't think any of these have been mentioned:
Edinburgh - Lesser Kudu
Marwell - Sable , Dama Gazelle?

Thanks for taking the hint ZG ;)

Edinburgh - Bawean deer and Persian fallow deer
HWP - Himalayan tahr

Folly Farm - Virginian opossum ( still there as far as I know , but not a long-living species )

Wales Monkey Sanctuary - Black mangabey

According to Zootierliste, Jersey Zoo has the only British examples of:

Echo parakeet
Madagascar crested ibis
Thick-billed euphonia
Orange-bellied euphonia
Silver-throated tanager
Hiapaniolan slider
Guatemalan arboreal lizard
Haitian giant galliwasp
Cuban iguana
Lesser night gecko
Spotted martinique's anole
Round Island skink
Morogoro viviparous toad
Sardinian brook salamander

Probably missed a few, and I am not sure how many of these species are actually on show.

agreed Maguari :O( fabulous little birds - I have a nice photo of one of them but it looks like it's posing against a gingham tablecloth due to the effect of the mesh roof behind it!

Chester keep a ssp of Martinique's anole, thought I'm not sure which. They aren't listed on zootierliste but they are there :)

Does Jersey Zoo have any solenodons on-show, or is the zoo just involved with in-situ conservation of these mammals?

Chester also have the anoles.

Port Lympne; Brown Hyaena. Golden-bellied Mangabey

Howletts; Ratel. Heck's Macaque.

There may be more.

Going back to zoogiraffe's original entry, Colchester isn't the only zoo with a Southern tamandua – London Zoo has one, and she has often been mentioned on this site.

I'm going to Colchester zoo soon – never been before – I shall take your list and see if I can spot everything mentioned! Anything else there I really shouldn't miss? (I don't like primates much, though...)

Colchester's are (as far as I'm aware) the only representatives of the subspecies longicaudata in the UK though. :)

Sorry, sorry, a little knowledge etc etc!!! I shall examine Colchester's (assuming I can find them) and see if I can spot the difference.

No worries. :)

They're actually quite disctinctive, I always think - there's a lot less black on them.
