The pathway to prosperity: Cockroach farming!

I used to breed cockroaches - when I kept lizards - but obviously not on that scale. Very easy, the phrase "they thrive on neglect" is often used to describe how easy it is.
Shelter, food and water is all they need. Water should be clean, food can be anything at all, even if it's old and rotten (but then you've got a smell to contend with).

If there was a market in Australia for the volume described in this article I'd take it up again. If I was in China I'd certainly give it a go breeding a million of them, and sell the powder as rhino horn.
