I find it curious that this place is never mentioned on here - even amongst big zoo buffs and such who live in BC itself! A hidden gem in my opinion, and one that more should check out.

There's only a few Canadian members on here, and it seems a little difficult to get to? From the website it looks like they do some great work, but the photos I'm finding of the facilities look fairly poor.

Welcome HawkAlot! Nice to have another Canadian member.

@TinoPup is right the Canadian group is small and the vast majority of us are from the Toronto area. We can go on and on about Toronto Zoo but the rest of the zoos in Canada don't get much mention because there aren't people on here to represent them and share info.

It does look like a cool collection.

I've visited this place! Unfortunately I completely forgot the name as it was a couple years ago, but I'm happy to have remembered now. If I remember correctly its rather small, just raptors and corvids with kookaburra and a marabou stork. I ended up taking the harris hawk experience, which included a walk around a wooded area with a staff member as well as the hawk free-flying and myself feeding it out of the glove. I definitely recommend it for anyone who happens to be passing through Duncan but I cant say it constitutes a trip across the country lol.
