The 'sense' thread

oh well done nanoboy. When Zoochat disappears from the internet we know who to blame for using it to bring disrepute to the fine upstanding establishment that is Scientology.

Well, I thought Scientology was all about science taking pride of place over religion. Oh how wrong I was. :D

Chandler, I am not too sure how I feel about the carbon tax yet. It hasn't sunk in because goods and services cost me the same still.

Ok so seriously, does anyone here use a search engine other than Google? Has anyone even heard of the search engines mentioned the article?

I've heard of Bing and used to use it quite often instead of Google. Since I've switched my web browser, though, I've gone back to Google.

The interesting thing about Bing is that I've heard it's actually owned by Google, though I don't know if there's any proof to that.

I've heard of Bing and Wolfram, but not the others.

And I remember before Google when Alta Vista was the most popular search engine (although I was using NetFerret, DogPile and Magellan)

You should Bing it to see what you come up with. ;) (Bing is owned by Microsoft.)

I haved used Alta Vista, Google, Ask Jeeves, Blackle, webcrawler, lycos, dog pile (I hated that name), yahoo, Infoseek and a few more I am sure. I do wonder if Google can ever be dethroned.

The only thing I ever use Bing for are their aerial maps which sometimes show different/better shots than does Google.

Reminds me of that Tom Cruise movie where he got an eye transplant and there were 'precogs'. I can't remember the name, but anyway, when he walked into the shopping mall, the billboard was saying things like "welcome back Jane. How did those jeans you bought last time fit?".

You know, I watched many many episodes of that show, but I can't remember what the show was actually about!!

"They cut off her breasts. I saw it all. Then each of the two men raped me. My neighbours were burned alive."

It always surprises me when Westerners expect Some Africans to respect animals, when they don't even respect humans.
