Interesting- However these videos don't seem to show the outdoor areas with the Alluaudia sp.
The breeding element can be a factor in determining if they are happy, but some cramped zoos have had wonderful breeding success: it again raises the question of whether the animals actually mind whether they are in a decent or world class exhibit...

There are no outdoor areas with Alluardia. Not only would Alluardia not survive outdoors through a NY winter, I have heard that the ones in the indoor exhibit are lost. (I assume that there was never enough light for them)
