Hairy-eared Dwarf Lemur (Allocebus trichotis)

The range of this species extends patchily and in low densities throughout the lowland rainforests of eastern Madagascar, from the Marojejy Nature Reserve in the north to as far south as the headwaters of the Sakanila River.

The range of this species is restricted to the Montagne d'Ambre and Ankarana regions of northern Madagascar.

The range of this species extends across northeastern Madagascar from Toamasina north to and including the Masaola Peninsula.

The range of this species extends across western Madagascar from the Fiherenana River in the south, as far north as Soalala, with a disjunct population in the Kirindy forest.

Pariente's Fork-marked Lemur (Phaner parienti)

The range of this species extends across the tropical moist lowland forests of northwestern Madagascar, from the Ampasindava Peninsula in the north, throughout Sambirano as far south as the Andranomalaza River.

And with that, I have completed the Cheirogaleidae and hence the entirety of Lemuroidea; again, given the number of newly-described species and the fact that the members of this family are almost entirely nocturnal it is perhaps unsurprising that few are represented in the Zoochat gallery.

Nonetheless, there are a handful of species which could potentially be uploaded to the gallery in the future, whether as a result of sightings in the wild or old photographs from prior captive holdings being unearthed and scanned. Golden-brown Mouse Lemur (Microcebus ravelobensis)

The range of this species is restricted to the Ankarafantsika National Park and Mariarano Classified Forest in western Madagascar.

Monotypic.

There is a picture of that one in the Madagascar wildlife gallery, which I took in Ankarafantsika.

I should also have a picture of a Milne-Edwards sifaka somewhere, will try to dig that one up.

The range of this species represents a patchy and localised distribution within the lowland rainforest block between the Niger River and the Sanaga River in Nigeria and Cameroon.

Golden Angwantibo (Arctocebus aureus)

The range of this species extends patchily and in low densities through West Africa, from central Cameroon and southern Central African Republic in the north to Gabon and the Congo/DRC border in the south.

The range of this species extends across much of West Africa, from Senegal in the west to Nigeria in the east.

East African Potto (Perodicticus ibeanus)

The range of this species extends throughout central Africa, from eastern Congo and southern Central African Republic in the west, to central Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda in the east.

Milne-Edwards' Potto (Perodicticus edwardsi)

The range of this species extends throughout western and central Africa, from southern Nigeria and Cameroon in the northwest, as far south as Angola and as far east as the central Democratic Republic of Congo.

Currently regarded as monotypic; however, further research may demonstrate subspecific variation within the species. The False Potto (Pseudopotto martini) is regarded as a synonym for this taxon.
