The Zoochat Photographic Index of Mammalian Families

HETEROMYIDAE

This family can fairly be split into two morphological groups, the kangaroo rats and the pocket mice, and as such it seems reasonable to select two species to represent the group as a whole for the purposes of this thread.

DIATOMYIDAE

This family, comprising as it does a single recently-described species (the Laotian Rock Rat or Kha-nyou) which is still very little-known, is perhaps unsurprisingly entirely unrepresented within the Zoochat gallery and as such will remain unillustrated for the purposes of this thread.

THRYONOMYIDAE

Unfortunately, this is another family which is entirely unrepresented within the Zoochat gallery and as such cannot be illustrated for the purposes of this thread.
.

CTENOMYIDAE

Unfortunately, despite how speciose the Tuco-tucos are, this comprises yet another family which cannot be illustrated for the purposes of this thread due to the complete lack of any photographs representing members of the family within the Zoochat gallery.

ABROCOMIDAE

Unfortunately, this is another family which is entirely unrepresented within the Zoochat gallery and as such cannot be illustrated for the purposes of this thread.
