There's more than one way to exhibit an animal

Congrats, @okapikpr: You stumbled over a well-known good ol' zoo classic...;) Must have already been mentioned several times on this forum in regard to different topics.

The question should be: why hasn't anybody built such an exhibit yet? Answer: see threads about visitor behaviour...
 
Interestingly, I read somewhere that the cost of keeping a bullfrog in a zoo is approximately the same as a nyala.

BTW, I hope some zoo builds hand-on marsh with frogs and newts, to tap on the great populace of children which pass through a stage of keeping newts and sticklebacks in jam jars. A version of hands-on pool in aquarium with seastars and crabs.

You hit the nail right on the head Sun. If all visitors behaved like zoo-fans, the design of exhibits could potentially be limitless.
