Things That Irritate You in Life

Honest to God, another thing that is absolutely irritating and frustrating to deal with is burn out, especially when it leads to literal cognitive decline and loss of skills (including with writing).

Sometimes this has made me more prone to giving into seemingly hedonistic impulses than I am proud to admit and then causing a cycle of feeling frustrated by my procrastination and lack of self discipline and just trapping myself into "dangling carrot syndrome" or the "I'll do it later hamster wheel", which has in some cases has lasted a few years, I am embarrassed to admit.

All the  words in the world for Team ECCO and their insanely irresponsible, completely nonsense claim that their "stingray" (species is never named) could possibly be pregnant by one of their bamboo sharks. It is NOT possible. Rays can reproduce via parthenogenesis, though, which is obviously what's going on here.

From their founder, on facebook, "Charlotte is a special and lovely fish. We are sharing her experience with you as a way to learn together. It is our gift. Please, do not disqualify our event.
Just because something has not happened or has not been documented does not make it impossible. Science is discovery. And besides, none of us know what has happened in the big ocean because we are not always there."

This makes me angry! This story is getting attention everywhere, when it's entirely made up so she can get some attention. The founder doesn't even have any background in anything science related, yet alone marine bio, and it's disturbing that her employees are okay with her running with this BS. It's another in a long line of anti-science claims that people are clinging to.

One thing that has irritated me, especially lately is that my apartment complex doesn't allow us to run loads of laundry past 10:00 pm. Sometimes that has been the only time I have had available to do my laundry. Their reason being, the amount of noise that washing machines and dryers make when they are running. Honestly, when this complex was built, I feel like they were being cheap and stingy and cut corners with the materials that they were using. As I said in an earlier post, people and institutions cutting corners is a major source of irritation for me!

Whenever I disagree with someone, no matter how civil they are with me or we both are, I constantly feel like they must resent me for it, and unfortunately this often causes me to overcorrect or overreact in response, sometimes under the belief it will 'smooth things over'.

I have a passing interest in cryptozoology and mythology. What frustrates me to no end is how the internet (especially TikTok) has in the past few years gone overboard with depicting North American forests (particularly in Appalachia) as extremely dangerous places filled with cryptids, evil spirits, and just about anything else deemed *spooky*. Just like with any wild area, here are real dangers in going into woods unprepared (wild animals, harsh weather and terrain, people engaged in illicit activities, etc) but not to the almost eldritch-god infested level that the internet makes it out to be. Creepypastas are not real. There is no such thing as Slenderman, Sirenhead, the Rake, or Not Deer.

I think you will find there are plenty of things that are Not Deer ;)

For instance, this:

Slenderman will never not be absolutely hilarious but also extremely confusing to me. Like why did that one story blow up so big

Its a bit specific but I find annoying if you give a statement which is ,say a bit funny. And the person who your talking to basically repeats the thing back to you and expects you to laugh as well.
