Think Pink: Where is your favorite flamingo exhibit and what makes it so?

Here at Bristol they relocated the original pinioned birds into a new covered aviary (near the entrance of course!) partly because any nesting attempts were foiled by the numerous gulls we have around the city nesting on rooftops. Since then they have bred most years, both parent-reared and hand-reared birds. Having them in a covered aviary, which the visitors can enter to view the birds from an upper level walkway, also means they can share the area with various European waders - Pied Avocet, Redshank, plus Little Egret. Given the space limitations, I think it does pretty well. The other good flamingo exhibit I have seen is the new large space at Slimbridge for Greater Flamingo - incidentally Slimbridge has all 6 world species including Andean, so it is a must for any flamingo fancier.
