The purpose of this thread is to list as many known holders of species in the families Turdidae, Muscicapidae, and Mimidae as possible. This thread will be continuing the rest of the captive American superfamily Muscicapoidea, also containing the starlings.
Passerines in general are difficult to keep track of, so it’s no secret that this list will probably come with many updates and corrections right away, which are always appreciated. Additionally, I will personally be attempting to work on narrowing down the passerine families to focus on certain bird families and their close relatives. No information older than 2018 was used for this list.
Overall this list was rather challenging to accumulate given how many of these species are native and widespread across the wilds of the North American continent. Lots of facilities that hold the native species keep them in widespread aviaries and free-flight areas alongside other birds. I expect more corrections for the mimids, as well as the American robin.
