The Annual report of both Zoo Berlin and Tierpark Berlin is now available online and includes as usual complete inventories of the mammal and bird collection, other taxa are only shown up to family level:

The main observation seems to be the complete collapse of the once great Waterfowl collection of the Tierpark. In other groups the collection has remained quite stable, though the majority of the reptile collection is offshow now.

They were in the Alfred Brehm house in the end, so we will have to wait whether they will be there again when it opens....

I don't think they will stay in/ return to the Brehm building. It would not fit into the topic "Southeast-Asian-Islands" and as far as I know the glas exhibits are going to display reptiles.

So I guess they will either find a place for them or give them away.

I think I have read somewhere that after they lost almost the entire group a new calf was born at the tierpark

They currently keep 1.1 + offspring of a year old and there is a single male at the zoo.

In addition, the website for Zoo Berlin claims to have P.t. corbetti, but the entire carnivore complex was closed there.

I can not tell which subsspevies that is, but according to zootierliste the P. t. corbetti got reidentified as P.t. jacksoni and they have not changed that yet

Nope, they have not. I hope they will quite soon bring it in line with new taxonomy as P.t. jacksoni.

Good news: Both the Gerenuk and the Musk deer have a fresh calf.

The Musk deer had a twin birth, but one of the young did not survive.

This brings the Gerenuk population in Europe to 5, one in the Zoo and four in the Tierpark.

The gerenuk was born yesterday. So far there is no information about its sex.

Some news I haven't seen mentioned anywhere on the forums - back in May Berlin Tierpark provided four European bison for a reintroduction in the Southern Carpathians, a joint project between Rewilding Europe and WWF Romania.
The release is the largest ever undertaken so far, with twenty-three animals being released across two sites - this takes the local population up to fifty-three.

According to Zootierliste, the pair of Eastern aardwolves at Tierpark Berlin has died off, meaning there are only 3 holders of that species left in Europe (when there were at least 8 in 2017 if we follow ztl's records)

Not only the aardwolves died but also the breeding female Gerenuk and the male Tamandua....

The breeding male + his two daughters in Tierpark and one male in the zoo.

The American black bears left for parc animalier de sainte croix. Their enclosure is now home to an elderly Spectacled bear from the Tierpark. This means less rotations necessary for the Spectacled bears and finally more space for the Black bears.
