Some news from the past weeks or months:
- As said in the Dortmund thread by someone, the Tierpark has recently given away two of its Cuvier's Dwarf Caimans, one went to Dortmund, the other to Emsflower in Emsbüren, which interestingly is some kind of market garden, it seems (never been there). There is still one pair left at Bochum
- The slender loris, which arrived last year, already had a first young in January. It was made public later on, as the new "Asienwelten" (literally "asia worlds") house that opened last year is still closed due to the pandemic. The other species exhibited there are: sugar glider (Petaurus breviceps), long-eared hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus), those three are only visible in the nocturnal indoor area, as well as malayan binturong (Arctictis binturong binturong), asian small-clawed otter (Aonyx cinerea), Indian crested porcupine (Hystrix indica) which are also visible outside. There is also one aviary containing eastern hill myna (Gracula religiosa religiosa) as well as crested partridge (Rollulus rouloul) and nicobar pigeon (Caloenas nicobarica).
- Another species not reported here I think are two (?) Northern Little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius curonicus) in the North Sea aviary, though they are not signed.
