Recently 5 female Western pygmy marmosets (Cebuella pygmaea pygmaea) arrived from the Kölner Zoo. This is a new (sub)species for the zoo, since pygmy marmosets (no subspecies status) have been kept at the zoo in the past.

At the end of August a Sugar glider (Petaurus breviceps) was born.

In August a Common squirrel monkey (Saimiri sciureus) was born.

Recently Panther chameleon (Furcifer pardalis) Olivia passed away, the chameleon arrived in 2020 in the zoo. As far as I know this was the only panther chameleon in the zoo.

Recently female Brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula) Muppet arrived from Zoo Plzen, this is a new species for Bochum.

Recently the pair Eurasian black vultures (Aegypius monachus) Archie and Gräfin moved to Adlerwarte Berlebeck due to renovation works at their aviary in Bochum.

Now that’s quite interesting. Eskişehir hadn’t announced the arrival of the seals yet. They are probably in quarantine.

A few days ago multiple wader birds were added to the zoo, most of the animals came were confiscated.
