Jungle Island Tiger Escape

I know this place isnt accredited by the AZA, but like San Francisco, their wall is way to short, by AZA standards it should be 20 feet, not 14.

I agree, the staff comments try to remain calm and pretend everything was ok and noone got hurt.
I was there last year and saw the liger and a tiger cub (the cub isn't mentioned in the article, so they have at least 1 more cat).
There are some things they do there that really annoy me (for example, taking your picture with the tiger cub or a gibbon). They used to have orangutans in a horrible little cage but I didn't see it last year so at least they're gone but there are many cages there that are probably not up to AZA standards or if they are they are the barest minimum.

This article should have been titled 'Escaped Gibbon Terrorizes Jungle Island Tiger'!

We are glad no one was hurt, this whole story is kinda crazy. Its like an episode of the Penguins of Madagascar where the zoo penguins let animals out of there enclosures and shananagans go on all over the park.On a serious note tiger exhibits need to be given a hard look at alot of zoos.
