The majority of the lion exhibit is blocked of from viewing but the enclosure still visible through a small area. The mother and cubs are currently off exhibit.

A second Javan Langur was born on 7th April following the first infant born in March. Jerusalem’s group now includes an adult male, the two breeding females, an older offspring that was not bred at the zoo and these two new infants. Their langur group stems from imports from Moscow and the Netherlands: Monkey moms care for one another’s babies at Jerusalem zoo - ISRAEL21c

Asiatic lion birth:

Jerusalem's Biblical Zoo welcomes new lion cub – J-Wire

Lioness Yasha gave birth to twins in a bush in the lions’ enclosure. One cub was accidentally struck by Yasha and died of its injuries on Wednesday.

The zoo staff hasn’t yet named the cub because they aren’t yet sure whether it is male or female.

The litter of Asiatic cubs was the second born to Gir, whom the zoo received from a zoo in Sweden, and Yasha, who came from a zoo in Germany.

The elephant exhibit will also undergo a significant change, in which, the yard of the cows will be expanded and united with the yard of the male elephant, but it will still be possible to separate the male from the females when necessary. In addition, the method of treating elephants will be adapted to the current practice among the leading zoos, and will be switched to a protected contact method, in which there is complete separation between the treatment teams and the animals (as already exists in the work with the male elephant).

Other projects that are expected to be launched during the next two years are the redesign of the African yard in a way that will allow the return of hippos to the zoo

The last piece of news is a second cub of Black howler to mother Yamima and father Shelby. This is Yamima's 3rd cub and the second to come from father Shelby
