Thanks to the renovated aquarium, new pheasantry, play area, and a few new species, Toledo achieved record attendance of over 1.3 million.

Crystal, the polar bear, has given birth. The cub was born in early December, according to the article and has been under the care of its mother Crystal since then.

I apologize if I am repeating someone but I went to the zoo today and noticed, one, the aquarium is closed until the 13th, and two, that a bear symbol appeared on the Tembo Trail map, I was doing research and apparently Grizzly Bears are replacing the white lions. The Yaks that are supposed to go into the Valley exhibit (former cheetah habitat) are also in the Tembo Trail where the camels usually are. Right now the Valley contains reindeer.

The zoo revealed on SnapChat that they now have pacas in the Aviary.
