On August 15th, it was announced that 2 ball pythons hatched in July and were subsequently transferred to Saginaw Children's Zoo in Michigan.

The Toledo Zoo is officially celebrating 40 years of lights before Christmas in 2025.
The show started in 1986 with 50,000 lights, and has since grown to over 1 million lights and 200+ illuminated animal figures. It now includes the zoo’s massive 85 foot tall Norway Spruce Christmas Tree, sledding, winter village, Christmas train ride and music synchronized lights in the zoos main plaza.
I would like to congratulate the zoo on 40 years of this accomplishment and hope that they have many more years of this show to come!!!
