Toledo Zoo Toledo Zoo & Aquarium News 2017

I emailed. They said it would not open this year. I am a member and we do not know what is going on. I assume it will be replaced this summer. More secrets.
I can't imagine what they would do with the exhibit due to its size since it isn't that large. It could possibly be a butterfly conservation exhibit.

It may go back to being a butterfly exhibit again. They took bids for a renovation of an existing facility for insect propagation. See link:

I thought it may have been something to do with Crawlspace. I just realized that we do not know what will happen to Crawlspace and Diversity of Life. Time will tell.

I received it today also. I still want to know why they want to be so secretive about every single renovation.

Especially for a zoo that has had some sort of theme or exhibit opening for at least five years during the summer. Even during quiet years.

Tomorrow, it will be early May! Will we find out anything this week or will the Aviary get delayed until late July. This better be worth the silence.

The zoo has a breeding pair (confirmed on 2017 breeding plan). I think they are in the Aviary, but if not they are in the not public Avian Breeding Center. I think they are in the Aviary.
There have been a number of transfers in the last year to create new pairings and expand the number of breeding facilities.

They have lesser in the aviary not superb. They definitely don't have the woodswallow and lory. I saw the magpie at the rotary exhibit.
