I thought it might be koala. Perfect location. With this news, we can now move the next question: Where will replace Keet Retreat? And the other question: Where will the new young male lions go?
I think this was a good move for the future. The koala when the Exploration Dome is made, I presume that koalas may be involved in that exhibit.I thought it might be koala. Perfect location. Now the next question is: when will the museum open?
Overall the multi-storied building appears quite empty but on my last recent visit, the left back corner was a somewhat small amphibian attraction - with frogs, toads, salamanders, and even a giant salamander. Other than that, various of small invertebrate exhibits are spread out all over the other corner. What exhibits (if any) were in the Museum of Science? Was it functionally a reptile house or something like that?
Does the zoo have a white-headed vulture still?
Thanks! Planning a trip for this year and while I'll unfortunately miss giant salamander (which National Zoo has but they aren't officially on exhibit anymore- they're still visible but hard to see) and I suppose the Kihansi spray toad were also kept there. Luckily, I saw the latter recently.Overall the multi-storied building appears quite empty but on my last recent visit, the left back corner was a somewhat small amphibian attraction - with frogs, toads, salamanders, and even a giant salamander. I think something really cool will be announced within the next month, such as, the specific plans to the museum. They did release the new reptiles that will be in the museum two months ago.Toledo still does not have their summer maps done yet. They are still in production. I do not see why they would take so long. Unless there is something not announced, it should not. I have emailed them every other week to ask and get the same answer. June is more than half over. This is as unusual as the silence about aviary renovations. The zoo still has not formally announced the museum renovation plans and it has been closed since spring.
